Capsule Collection
My first collection! Made for Chantilly Lace in Blacksburg. Pink and gold are perennial best sellers for the store. I was inspired by vintage silhouettes from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. The show was a success over all. I sold a couple of pieces, which was so exciting!
Look 1 is a taffeta dress, reminiscent of a 50’s design. It’s a lightweight dress with a soft crinoline, edged in lace. The sequined appliques are vintage and hand applied.
Look 2 is a disco diva’s dream! A simple sequined sheath with an ultra feminine bow tie at the neck. Tie it high, or tie it low, it’s your party! The dress is fully lined in a nude beige fabric.
Look 3 is a brocade sleeveless suit. The vest has snap closures and is fully lined. The pants have been cut into shorts! I feel like it’s an edgier and younger design. I picture them with very sassy gold platforms!
Look 4 is a golden brocade, strapless design with appliqued detail. The matching bolero has been hand beaded with a lavish trim detail. Both pieces are fully lined in pink.
Look 5 is a bias cut, swingy dress, meant for dancing! It features a drawstring neckline that can be adjusted by the wearer. It’s made from the softest pink, crepe-backed satin fabric.
Look 6 is a long, bias-cut gown in soft pink crepe-backed satin. The back is plunging! I looked to the work of master Madeleine Vionnet for inspiration for this design.
Look 7 is an iridescent taffeta cocktail dress with bustier styling and features sequined, gold lace appliques. Not a dress for the shy-at-heart, this piece is a real head-turner!

Look 8 is a draped design, inspired by Vivienne Westwood. Yards of taffeta swirl around the wearer in this lavish design. The diagonal lines are accented by gold lace appliques. A truly decadent frock!
